For the hunter looking to have the Alaska adventure with plenty of shot opportunity an unguided caribou hunt may be just the ticket. As long as you are in good caribou country and good hunter can take caribou on their own. The biggest challenge will be braving the Alaska wilderness by yourself, but that is part of the adventure up north. If you can handle that and are in good shape you can hunt caribou and be successful at the fraction of the price of a guided hunt. Hunts are 5-10 days and the longer you can stay in the field the better the chance you’ll have. We recommend you have at least one wolf tag in camp as wolves are frequently encountered on these hunts. We only conduct a handful of caribou hunts ever season and boast a 100 percent success rate as long as we’ve been in business. Caribou hunting is at its best from August 15th through September 25th.
