Our Central Idaho backcountry high mountain September archery hunts are really a throw back to the way elk used to be hunted.
You’ll either be staying in the comforts of the lodge or a rustic wall tent camp nestled in the lodgepole pines. Our experienced guides use horses to pack out your bull while you sit around the campfire and relax when the sun goes down. During the fall Idaho Elk Hunting season, the bulls have their cows rounded up and are defending them in a section of pines and aspen all their own. Sneaking on these big guys with your bow will be one of the greatest thrills of your life!
